Jones, Albert Dekker, Bo Hopkins, and Lilia Castillo NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Bill Gold Important Added Info: Note that this is a rare 1960s double-sided poster. It is printed on a different than normal paper that has a feel as though it is plastic coated. We have auctioned a few other 1960s posters like this, namely Hatari, Zulu, and Nevada Smith. We also know that there was a "Breakfast at Tiffany's", which was auctioned in London, and sold for a HUGE amount of money! Now we have been consigned a similar one-sheet from "The Wild Bunch", so we can add that title to the short list, but this is the first time we have auctioned this poster. It appears that this was some sort of experiment that was tried in the 1960s and then abandoned, and not used again until the 1990s, when movie posters were sometimes made in double-sided versions (for use in light boxes). Note that the image on the reverse of this poster is a mirror image of the image on the front! Also note that the poster has an extra wide right border that includes NSS information in the middle of the right, as it would have appeared on the 30x40, so it seems likely that when the studio was creating this poster, they started with the 30x40 image rather than the one-sheet image. We have provided images of both the front and back of this poster, but of course, your are purchasing ONE poster, not two! Also note that this one-sheet measures 28" x 38" [71 x 97 cm]. Condition: very good. The poster was never machine folded, but was lightly partially folded across the middle. There are also some light creases scattered throughout the poster, and small faint staining in the lower right blank border. Learn More about condition grades
