An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Title Lobby Card (LC TC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) African Holiday, the 1937 Harry C. Pearson Africa safari hunting expedition documentary ("Photographed in Africa by Mr. and Mrs. Harry C. Pearson") narrated by Harry C. Pearson. The Pearsons were a married couple who got the idea to take a massive trip all over the African continent, and to film their travels. When they returned after seven months in Africa (having traveled over 5,000 miles and covering almost the entire continent), they assembled their footage into this documentary! During their travels, they saw pygmies and Latukas (who averaged over seven feet tall!), and many very rare animals. We don't know what else this remarkable couple accomplished in their lifetime, because we could not find other information about them, but it appears that this is their only movie, so they are not like the other famous married couples that made African movies (like Armand Denis and his two wives, and Martin Johnson and his wife Osa). Important Added Info: Note that this card has a stamp on the back that indicates it came from the legendary "Cozy Theater" collection! Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: very good. There are two tiny bits of paper loss in the top blank border and a few minor creases in the blank corners. Otherwise, the card is in nice condition.
