West silent identical twins romantic love triangle melodrama ("Triangle plays"; a really clever story of identical twins with opposite personalities; the sweet one is a great opera singer, but she is crippled and can no longer perform, and her promoter gets the idea to have her twin perform in her place, with her crippled sister singing for her backstage while she lip-synchs; and then she is a big success because of her sister's talent, and she marries a rich man; then the rich man is blinded, and she starts sneaking out on him, and her crippled sister consoles her blind husband, pretending to be her sister!; but then the husband regains his sight, and fortunately, the evil sister is killed, leaving him to marry the sister he truly loves) starring Bessie Barriscale (playing identical twins), Charles Gunn, Howard Hickman, Aggie Herring, Tom Guise, and J. Barney Sherry. Note that this is a "lost" film, which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). This slide is the kind that has two panes of glass that are taped together with black tape around all four edges (front and back), typical of many older glass slides. We have provided a high quality scan of the image, but we have not taken a photo of the slide, because there would really be very little to see! Condition: very good.
