An Original Vintage Theatrical 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Movie Still (Learn More)

Mary Carlisle was an actress from the 1930s and 1940s (she had a minor part in one 1920s silent movie). Some of her movies include: Murder in the Private Car, Kind Lady, and One Frightened Night. She passed away in 2018 at the age of 104. Perhaps her longevity was partly due to her having retired from the movies in 1943, shortly after marrying a successful businessman (he passed away in 2007) AND Jean Chatburn was an actress in the 1930s. Some of her movies include: Paradise Valley, Bad Guy, The Great Ziegfeld, and The Devil on Horseback. She started as a double for Barbara Stanwyck, and retired between her first and second marriages (second husband Dick Metz was a cattle rancher and golfer!, and they stayed married until his death in 1993).
