An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Herald (measures 4" x 9.25") (Learn More) Tracked By Wireless, the 1912 Warner silent 3-reel romantic jewel thief melodrama ("A thrilling Detective Story in three reels"; "See daring escape from the boat with his horse, the break for liberty in a balloon and a hundred other daring escapes"; about a beautiful young window who sends her valuable pearl necklace to be repaired, and a jewel thief steals it, but when he sees that the owner is young and beautiful, he returns it to her, and they fall in love, but the police are hunting for him, and at the film's climax, he tries to jump a gorge on a horse, and he dies in the attempt, and his rich lover is left brokenhearted). If anyone knows more about this movie, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Important Added Info: Note that this is a really incredible herald! This movie dates from 1912 (it is printed at the bottom of the image on the cover in very small type), but I cannot find out any further information about the movie. It IS clear, is that it is surely one of the very first movies that Warner Bros. ever made (could it actually be the first?)! It is "in three reels", typical of "feature films" of the early teens, and it says "Produced by Warner's Feature Film Company". What is most intriguing is that it has a logo that says "Warner's Features" with a "W" in a circle in between the two words! Apparently, this was the first logo the company used! I wonder if this movie was not produced solely by one of the brothers, and that afterwards he brought in one or more of his other brothers, and then changed the name of the studio to "Warner Bros." (NOT "Warner Brothers", as it is often mistakenly referred to), and changed the logo from the single "W" to the universally recognized "WB". I think this is an incredible piece of movie history, and hope other people feel the same way, and that this ends up in a museum or institution of some kind. Note that we have one other similar super early herald, "When Men Hate", which is from 1913, which we are offering elsewhere on eBay. If anyone has additional information about either of these movies, either of these heralds, or about the early history of Warner's, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Condition: very good.
