An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded German "A1" Movie Poster (measures 24" x 34" [61 x 86 cm]) (Learn More) Unter Ausschluss der Offentlichkeit (literally translates to "Behind Closed Doors"), the 1937 Paul Wegener (best remembered as the co-director and star of the three German expressionist movies starring "The Golem", which he made in 1915, 1917 and 1920; the Golem is widely regarded as one of the first movie monsters, and likely had a strong influence on American horror movies!) German romantic love triangle melodrama starring Olga Tschechowa, Ivan Petrovich, Sabine Peters, Alfred Abel, Berthold Ebbecke, Ursula Herking, Eric Ode, and Eduard von Winterstein (billed as "E. von Winterstein"). Note that this was director Paul Wegener's final movie. It appears this movie was never released in the U.S. If anyone knows more about this movie, please e-mail us and we will post it here. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this is a very rare "country of origin" poster from Germany from during World War II, which we have never auctioned before (and we have also only auctioned a German program from this movie, and nothing else!). There are very few German movie posters from before or during World War II in existence (because of the massive paper shortages in Germany during World War II), and most of those few are in museums. Also note that this German A1 poster measures 24" x 34" [61 x 86 cm]. Condition: fair to good. Learn More about condition grades
