An Original Vintage Autographed Deluxe 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm] Television Still (Learn More)

John Little McClellan was a lawyer and politician from the 1930s to the 1970s. He was a Democratic U.S. Representative and Senator from Arkansas, and is the longest-serving Senator in Arkansas history (he served from 1943 to 1977)! He was the youngest lawyer in the United States at the age of 17, and prior to being a senator, he was in the House of Representatives for three years. He participated in the Army-McCarthy hearings, and he led a democratic walk-out protesting McCarthy's behavior. He also led hearings investigating organized crime and his chief counsel at those hearings was Robert F. Kennedy, his first national exposure. He passed away in 1977 at the age of 81.
Important Added Info: Note that this TV still (which is a deluxe still printed on double weight paper stock) has been personally autographed (signed) by John L. McClellan, who was the U.S. Senator from Arkansas from 1943 to 1977. This still is from 1959, and it shows McClellan standing with Ward Bond, Mickey Rooney, and a man playing a Native American Indian, and they are on the set of TV's "Wagon Train". Mr. McClellan wrote a long inscription to Ward Bond and signed it "To my esteemed friend Ward Bond". This seems unusual since McClellan was a liberal democrat, and Ward Bond was one of the most famous right wing anti-communist members of the Hollywood community! Also note that the item comes with a "letter of authenticity" from PSA/DNA.

Note that this item comes to us from an autograph collector who not only has 35 years experience, but is also a historian and federally certified archivist as well! We are 100% certain the autograph on this item is authentic!

As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction.

Condition: very good to fine.
