An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) Monster Maker, the 1944 Sam Newfield mad scientist acromegaly science fiction (sci-fi) horror thriller starring J. Carrol Naish, Ralph Morgan, Tala Birell, Wanda McKay, Terry Frost, Ace the Wonder Dog, Glenn Strange, and Ray 'Crash' Corrigan (uncredited as the gorilla monster!). Note that Crash Corrigan made a REALLY wise investment in the 1930s, when he bought a "gorilla suit". In many of the movies in the 1940s where there is a fake gorilla, it is played by Crash Corrigan, no doubt because he could supply the suit! Also note that Ace the Wonder Dog had his first role in 1938's "Blind Alibi" (playing a seeing eye dog). He appeared in 15 movies stretching over 8 years. An extremely tiny amount of the bottom blank border was trimmed off. There are several razor cuts and pinholes near the center of the image that were repaired with tape from the back. There is a slightly diagonal crease in the bottom center of the image and a stain in the middle right. There is a pencil mark in the man's cheek at upper right and tack holes with stains around the edges of the card (some repaired with tape from the back). Learn More about condition grades
