A Vintage Autographed Hardcover Book (measures 4 1/2" x 6 1/2" [11 x 17 cm]; 61 pages) (Learn More) Dale Evans was an actress from the 1950s to the 1980s. She is certainly best remembered as Roy Rogers' on screen and off screen co-star and wife, but she had a really unusual life! She was married at 14 in 1926 and had a baby the following year, and by 1936, she had divorced her third husband, at which point she embarked on a musical career (she was only 26). She found success as a recording star and then got some film roles, and in 1944, she co-starred opposite Roy Rogers, and two years later, his wife passed away, and she divorced her husband, and the two married and starred in many movies together, along with their hit TV show. They remained married for over fifty years until Rogers' death in 1998. Evans herself passed away in 2001 at the age of 88. Important Added Info: Note that this book has been personally autographed (signed) by Dale Evans (she signed her married name "Dale Evans Rogers")! Our consignor is a longtime collector who purchased this signed item from a reputable dealer. He does not have a certificate of authenticity, but we believe the signature to likely be authentic. Also note that we have pictured the front cover, the title page, and the interior page that shows the publishing information, and one or more interior 2-page spreads. As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction. On non-signed items, we give a "lifetime guarantee" on everything we auction, but on signed items, we give the above modified guarantee of 30 days after the auction closes. Condition: fair to good. The dust jacket is slightly frayed around the edges.
