The Case of Lena Smith, the 1929 Josef von Sternberg Vienna Austria silent family lawyer legal courtroom trial melodrama ("From the story by Samuel Ornitz"; about an innocent girl from the country who marries a young student officer after her seduces her; when she has a baby, the officer's father takes the baby away, and the baby's father commits suicide; she tries to get her child back in court, but loses, and steals the baby, and when he grows up, he enlists in World War I, but her intuition tells her he will not survive the war) starring Esther Ralston (in the title role as Lena Smith), James Hall, Gustav von Seyffertitz, Emily Fitzroy, and Fred Kohler. Note that this is a "lost" film which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist.

Important Added Info: Note that ANY movie paper items from this movie are incredibly rare. We have only previously auctioned four lobby cards, six stills, a herald, and a pressbook from this movie (and NO other movie paper of any kind) until we received this fifth lobby card! Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has.

Condition: very good. There is a thin strip of light staining in the lower left blank border. Otherwise, the card is in excellent condition. Note that this lobby card is completely unrestored and there is not a single piece of tape on either the front or back!
