Date Sold 12/21/2023Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Title Lobby Card (LC TC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) Men Without Law, the 1930 Louis King south-of-the-border cowboy western ("Buck Jones in a Whirlwind All Talking Western"; "Thrilling all-talking western"; about a cowboy who discovers his brother has joined an outlaw gang, and when they go to Mexico and kidnap the beautiful daughter of a rancher, he rescues the daughter and breaks up the gang, and wins the girl) starring Buck Jones, Thomas Carr, Carmelita Geraghty, Lydia Knott, and Harry Woods. Note that Buck Jones' white horse was named Silver (just like The Lone Ranger's later on!), and Silver made 73 movies with Buck Jones from 1922 until Jones' death in 1942 in the tragic Cocoanut Grove fire. But oddly, Silver was almost never billed on the posters for Buck Jones' movies as so many other famous horses (most especially Tom Mix's Tony) were! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: good. The card has slightly darkened, typical of Columbia lobby cards of this period. There are several tears in the borders that were repaired with paper tape from the back, including one at middle left that runs into Jones' arm. There is a tack hole in each corner and one to the right of the horse's nose. Please look at our super-sized images to get a good sense of the exact condition of this card.
