An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded English Three-Sheet (called a 6sh in England) Movie Poster (3sh; measures 39 3/4" x 78 1/2" [101 x 199 cm]) (Learn More) The Feminine Touch (also released as "A Lamp Is Heavy" and it was released in the U.S. in 1957 as "The Gentle Touch"), the 1956 Pat Jackson English Ealing romantic medical doctor nurse hospital comedy ("The inside bedside story of the girls who put the 'urgery' in surgery-") starring George Baker, Belinda Lee, Delphi Lawrence, Adrienne Corri, Mandy Miller (billed as "Mandy"), Diana Wynyard. Note that we have seen English posters with all three titles mentioned above. A knowledgeable collector tells us that it is quite likely that English posters promoting the film in the U.K. featured "The Feminine Touch", and that English posters promoting the film in Canada initially used "The Gentle Touch", but new posters were printed with the title "A Lamp Is Heavy" to capitalize on the fact that the movie is based on a Canadian book using that title. Also note that this English three-sheet measures 39 3/4" x 78 1/2" [101 x 199 cm], but it has not been trimmed. Finally, note that this English three-sheet was printed in 2 sections designed to overlap. Condition: poor to fair. There were long tears near the center of the poster that have yellowed tape stains in those areas (see our image). There are many creases, several tears, and some areas of tiny paper loss along the folds that were on the outside when the poster was fully folded. There are some creases, smudges, and tiny tears on some folds, and some tiny paper loss at some crossfolds. There are pinholes and paper loss around the edges.
