Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster had small paper loss at the crossfolds. It had an extra vertical fold slightly to the right of the regular one, with a partial extra horizontal fold just above the regular top horizontal fold, at a slight diagonal. It had some tiny tears and tiny bits of paper loss on parts of some folds. It had pinholes and darkening in the borders, because there had been paper tape on the back of the borders. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was backed by a really talented restorer, who performed expert restoration to the above defects (the restorer painted over the darkened blank borders, but not the small writing areas at the bottom, only the blank areas, to "even them out"), and the poster will display wonderfully on the new owner's wall (and to the best of our knowledge, they will currently have the only known example of this rare and historic poster (there may have been other examples of this poster, but we don't know the current whereabouts of any of them)!
