Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) THX 1138, the 1971 George Lucas science fiction (sci-fi) dystopian future melodrama ("The future is here."; "Visit the future where love is the ultimate crime."; "Story by George Lucas"; "Executive Producer, Francis Ford Coppola") starring Robert Duvall (in the title role as THX 1138), Donald Pleasence, Don Pedro Colley, John Seaton, Johnny Weissmuller Jr., Susan Baldwin, Ian Wolfe, and Maggie McOmie. Note that this was George Lucas' first movie. Some people (including myself) liked it quite a bit, but generally its dark and ultra-depressing theme turned off audiences, and it was not very successful on first release. The poster is linenbacked; prior to restoration the poster had creases and some tiny areas of paper loss across the top foldline and in the part of the vertical fold between the top crossfold and the middle crossfold; it had a pinhole in each corner and a few minor border defects; the poster was very well restored and the above minor defects have been rendered pretty invisible; the poster looks great and I would think any collector would be happy to display it on their wall!
