Note that this low-budget western was director Sam Peckinpah's very first feature film, made after he had directed some TV episodes. He received some attention after he directed the (now highly regarded) "Ride the High Country" in 1962, and in 1963, this movie, his first, was re-released with a new title, "Trigger Happy".
