A 1963 Re-Release (re-titled "Trigger Happy" for this re-release) Vintage Theatrical Movie Pressbook (pb; measures 8 3/4" x 12" [22 x 30 cm]; 10 pages) (Learn More) Deadly Companions (released in France as "New Mexico"), the 1961 Sam Peckinpah cowboy western ("Trapped... By her past and the sins of the men who pursued her through a savage land!"; "An Unholy Alliance! Three hell-driven men stalk a beautiful, tempting woman alone in an untamed land!.. Savage action and explosive emotions erupt on the screen!"; "TRAPPED... Money gave men the right to her lips! DEADLY... Hate and revenge were all he lived for! DEADLY... Nothing stood between him and what he wanted! DEADLY... Half-crazed with greed and dreams of grandeur!"; "They Fought With Guns Worn Low!", "Lust and revenge... Romance and hate. A motion picture of great impact!"; "Alone... In an untamed land - with three men who forced their way into her life!"; "SEE - The deadliest gundown of them all! SEE - The vicious crunch of fist against flesh! SEE - The terror of Apache cruelty!"; "Screenplay by A.S. Fleischman from his novel") starring Maureen O'Hara, Brian Keith, Steve Cochran, Chill Wills, and Strother Martin. Note that this low-budget western was director Sam Peckinpah's very first feature film, made after he had directed some TV episodes. He received some attention after he directed the (now highly regarded) "Ride the High Country" in 1962, and in 1963, this movie, his first, was re-released with a new title, "Trigger Happy". NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that we have provided an image of the front and back covers of the pressbook, plus an image of a two-page spread from inside of the pressbook (we do NOT picture any supplements or heralds, if there are any included with this pressbook), and of course, the winner of this auction will receive the entire single pressbook we are auctioning (plus any supplements or heralds described above)! Also note that this pressbook is complete and uncut! Given that theater owners purchased pressbooks partly in order to create their newspaper advertising, and quite frequently cut them up for that purpose, it is rare to find a pressbook that IS complete and uncut! Condition: very good, NO CUTS. Learn More about condition grades
