The Great White Way, the 1924 E. Mason Hopper silent New York City Broadway theater stage acting boxing sports prizefighting press agent newspaper romantic comedy ("New York's Main Street offers the most beautiful women in the world."; about a stage actress whose publicity agent gets her romantically linked with a boxer to get publicity, and they initially hate each other, but they have many adventures together, and at the end, she shows up just in time to cheer him on to victory in his big boxing match) starring Anita Stewart, Tom Lewis, T. Roy Barnes, Oscar Shaw, and Dore Davidson. Note that this movie was produced by William Randolph Hearst through his Cosmopolitan production company, and he saw to it that the Hearst newspapers were heavily promoted in this movie. Twelve years later, when Hearst was looking for a starring vehicle for his mistress Marion Davies, he produced a remake of this movie with Davies starring opposite Clark Gable, under the title of "Cain and Mabel"! Also, note that this is a "lost" film which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist.

If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.

Condition: very good. There is a pinhole in Stewart's hair and one in the orange background below her arm. There is tiny paper loss in the lower right border and a few faint stains scattered on the back of the poster that have almost no effect on the front. There are some creases scattered throughout the poster. See our super-sized image to get a good sense of the condition of this poster.
