Wellman romantic outlaw cowboy western ("Based on a story by W.R. Burnett"; about a gang of outlaws who hole up in a ghost town, where an old man lives with his granddaughter; the old man says he has lots of hidden gold, and the outlaws want to kill him for the gold, but the leader of the outlaws has fallen in love with the pretty granddaughter, and he ends up doing the right thing) starring Gregory Peck, Anne Baxter, Richard Widmark, Robert Arthur, John Russell, Henry Morgan, James Barton, and Charles Kemper NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this is an extremely rare poster. We have never auctioned one in all our years of auctioning! Note also that this movie was released in the late 1940s or early 1950s through the MPEA, which distributed movies in Germany, Japan, Austria, and a few other European countries right after World War II until the very early 1950s (a lot of the people who went to those movies were U.S. servicemen stationed in those countries). Note finally that this poster was tri-folded only (which means there is no vertical machine fold) but because it would be more expensive to send flat, it will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: good. The poster has surface paper loss in portions of Peck's face at upper right and near his chin from the rough removal of tape (see our image).
