An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Herald (measures 3 1/2" x 4 3/4" [9 x 12 cm]; 4 pages) (Learn More)

Yolanda, the 1924 Robert G. Vignola silent historical medieval knights royalty romantic love triangle melodrama ("Adapted by Luther Reed from Charles Major's novel"; "Settings by Joseph Urban"; "The picture of the century!"; set in 15th century France, Davies is a princess who is being forced into an arranged marriage for political reasons, and she runs away and poses as a commoner, and falls in love with a man who turns out to be her disguised true love!) starring Marion Davies ("in her biggest film success"; in the title role as Yolanda/Princess Mary), Lyn Harding, Holbrook Blinn (as King Louis XI of France), Macklyn Arbuckle, Johnny Dooley, and Ralph Graves
NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
Important Added Info: Note that this is a very unusual herald, because as part of the ad campaign, they showed Marion Davies in two of her past hit movies ("as Patricia in 'Little Old New York'" and "as the heroine of 'When Knighthood Was in Flower'"). Sometimes studios would reference past movies in their advertising, but here they actually show her in character from those past movies, which is very unusual!

Condition: very good.
