Kenton South Seas tropical island romantic screwball comedy (about a pair of bus drivers who manage to steal their own bus, drive it into the ocean, and get involved with a rich playboy on his way to a tropical island, and also sinister jewel thieves) starring Bud Abbott, Lou Costello (Abbott and Costello), Virginia Bruce, Robert Paige, Leif Erickson, Lionel Atwill, Nan Wynn, Samuel S. Hinds, "Tip, Tap, and Toe Dancers", The Saronga Dancing Girls, "Those Sensational Harmony Hits" The Four Ink Spots, Marie McDonald (10th in the credits, and unbilled, though she would soon become famous as Marie "The Body" McDonald!), William Demarest, and Sig Arno NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Rene Lefebvre Important Added Info: Note that this is an extremely rare poster! We have never auctioned one in all our years of auctioning. It is from the 1948 re-release (and it has "Depot legal no 941 le 3 - 48" in the lower left border, which likely means it is from the third printing of the poster). We have auctioned a one-panel from 1946, but this is the only French poster of this size we have auctioned. Also note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: good to very good. The poster has darkened somewhat. It has a 1 1/2" tear in the lower left border and a few small tears in the rest of the borders, with tiny separation at the crossfolds. There are some smudges scattered in the poster. After a relatively simple linenbacking, the poster will look great! Note that there is what looks like a small stain on Costello's chin, but it is part of the printing!
