An Original Vintage Theatrical Autographed 8 1/4" x 9 3/4" [21 x 25 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) Anne Shirley was an actress from the 1920s to the 1940s. She was born Dawn Eveleen Paris but her mother gave her the name Dawn O'Day early in her career. She changed her name to Anne Shirley during the summer of 1934 after she had been chosen to play the character with the same name in RKO's Anne of Green Gables. Some of her other movies include: City Girl, The Devil and Daniel Webster, Murder My Sweet, and Stella Dallas (nominated for the Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for this film). She passed away in 1993 at the age of 75. Important Added Info: Note that this still has been personally autographed (signed) by Anne Shirley! Our consignor purchased this signed item from the estate of a major autograph collector, and while he does not have a certificate of authenticity, both he and we are certain the autograph is authentic. Also note that this still has been trimmed and it now measures 8 1/4" x 9 3/4" [21 x 25 cm].
