A Vintage Paperback Book (measures 4 1/4" x 7" [11 x 18 cm]; 155 pages) (Learn More) Tell Them Anything, the 1960 Orrie Hitt sexploitation novel ("What Joe wanted, Joe took - especially women!"; "A no-punches-pulled novel of the hard-sell hucksters to whom women were playthings and tools of the trade") Important Added Info: Note that this is one of a collection of 32 sexploitation paperback books from the 1950s and 1960s from a new collection we were recently consigned (see below for more), and are auctioning in 32 separate auctions. These are from the repressed 1950s and 1960s, from the days when "respectable" people had few outlets for non-traditional sexual desires, and these "sleaze" paperbacks covered those subjects in depth! They always had lurid covers, and they were often sold "under the counter" (where you had to ask for them). The sexual revolution of the late 1960s made these books pretty irrelevant, but they are a fascinating reminder of repressed sexual attitudes of the 1960s! In 2018, we were consigned a collection of around 300 of these books, and we auctioned them from then until 2021. Now we have been consigned a new collection that we will be auctioning every four weeks, with around 30 in each auction. There is only one of each title, so if you don't purchase a specific book, don't expect to see it again, because there is not another example of it in this collection! Condition: fair to good.
