He appeared in minor roles until he starred in his own screenplay for Rocky (nominated for the Best Actor Academy Award for this film), which made him a major star. He also had great success with the "Rambo" series of movies. Some of his other movies include: Over the Top, Get Carter, The Expendables, and Creed (nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film).
