Taittinger is a French wine family who are famous producers of high quality champagne. The company was founded in 1734 by Jacques Fourneau and the Taittinger Champagne house is currently based in Reims, France. The flagship wines of the house are the Comtes de Champagne and Comtes de Champagne Rose.

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster was never folded. It had faint scuffs in the bottom right white background area, next to the hand. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer backed the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above.
