An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures approximately 3" x 4" [8 x 10 cm]) (Learn More) This circa 1920s stock glass slide ("Gardiner Syndicate of Buffalo Present Roscoe Fatty Arbuckle In his greatest comedy success entitled") for Roscoe 'Fatty' Arbuckle has a blank space where the title was written. Roscoe Fatty Arbuckle who was a wildly popular silent actor. His career was cut short by (false) accusations of manslaughter. It took three trials to acquit him, but by then his career was ruined. He also discovered a little known actor by the name of Buster Keaton. Among Arbuckle's most loved films were Fatty and Mabel Adrift, The Garage, Back Stage, Go West, and the Bell Boy. A humorous aspect of this stock slide is that it says "in his greatest comedy success - entitled -", and then it has a blank area where the theater would write in any title at all (proving there is no truth in advertising!). Important Added Info: The slide does not have a cardboard holder, but rather there is black tape around all four edges (front and back), typical of older glass slides. We have provided both a high quality scan of the image and also a separate image of how the glass slide looks, but in that digital image, you can really just see the outline of the slide and defects (if any) around the edges. Condition: very good. The theater that used this slide wrote in the title of one of Arbuckle's shorts, The Red Mill, in the space provided. Learn More about condition grades
