An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) A Virgin Paradise, the 1921 J. Searle Dawley stranded-on-a-desert-island comedy (based on the story by Hiram Percy Maxim) starring Pearl White (famous star of the most memorable silent serial, "The Perils of Pauline"), Robert Elliot; Jack Baston, Alan Edwards, Henrietta Floyd, and Grace Beaumont. Note that Pearl White is of course the most famous female silent serial star, but after many injuries from her roles, she decided that she wanted to quit serials, and she turned to "serious acting", but she became addicted to painkillers, and she retired in 1924 and passed away in 1938, when she was just 49. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this wonderful scene card has three images of Pearl White, one wearing a fabulous elaborate gown with a feathered headdress, one showing her on the ship before it is wrecked, and one showing her on the desert island holding three lion cubs! Condition: good to very good. The card was lightly folded down the middle and there are some faint smudges and stains around the edges. The card has been laying flat for a long time, and the crease is hardly noticeable from the front, and is not really distracting at all. Otherwise, the card is in nice condition. Note that this lobby card is completely unrestored and there is not a single piece of tape on either the front or back! Learn More about condition grades
