An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Japanese "B4" or "speed" Movie Poster (10x28; measures 10 1/2" x 29 3/4") (Learn More) Soshun (released in the U.S. in 1974 as "Early Spring"), the 1956 Yasujiro Ozu Japanese family relationship romantic love triangle infidelity melodrama (about an office worker stuck in a dead end job, and he has an affair, and goes to the country in disgrace, but his wife follows him to help him start their new life together) starring Chikage Awashima, Takako Fujino, Ryo Ikebe, Daisuke Kato, and Keiko Kishi. Note that Yasujiro Ozu was a legendary Japanese writer and director from 1920s to the 1960s. He is likely the second best regarded Japanese director after Akira Kurosawa, and many of his films are considered classics, and his masterpiece is "Tokyo Story" from 1953, although he made movies from 1927 to 1962. First release Japanese posters of any kind from any of his movies are beyond rare! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this Japanese poster measures 10 1/2" x 29 3/4", but it does not appear to be trimmed. Please do not bid on it thinking that it is 10" x 28".
