An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Window Card Movie Poster (measures 14" x 22") (Learn More) The Creature Walks Among Us, the 1956 John Sherwood Universal science fiction (sci-fi) underwater sea monster horror thriller sequel ("Beauty and the man-beast from a lost world!"; "Terror runs rampant on the city streets... as the Monster strikes Again!"; "A city screams in terror!"; "All new underwater thrills!"; "Half monster! ...half man! A clutching claw at the heart of civilization!"; "Science baits his fury with a woman's beauty!"; "No chains can hold the power of his passions!"; "Terror stalks the city's streets!!"; "Half monster! Half man! On a rampage of revenge!"; "Story and Screenplay by Arthur Ross"; set in The Florida Everglades and San Francisco!) starring Jeff Morrow, Rex Reason, Leigh Snowden, Gregg Palmer, Maurice Manson, Ricou Browning (who played the monster underwater), and Don Megowan (who played the monster on land). Note that, in this film, scientists transport the creature from the Everglades in Florida to San Francisco, California! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: very good. This poster was linenbacked, and one of the following is true: either the poster had minor defects, and was well backed, OR it had more significant defects, but they were extremely well restored, OR it had some very minor defects that were not completely restored, and are somewhat noticeable. You can tell which of the above is the case for this particular poster by reading our "pre-restoration" description and also by looking at our "super-sized" image of the actual poster (we are the only major auction company we know of that gives accurate detailed pre-restoration information about linenbacked posters to our bidders, but we wish everyone did!). The poster had been folded vertically. There were creases down that foldline and creases, smudges, and pinholes around the edges of the poster. There was tiny paper loss in the bottom corners. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The person who did the linenbacking pretty much just mounted it on linen as is, and did not do any restoration (but the poster displays fine as it is). At some point after backing, the poster was roughly handled and it has cracked across the top blank area, but that surely is a minor defect, as one would never show that area, plus one might well trim it off! Note that the restorer who mounted the poster did not leave any excess linen around the edges of the poster. Learn More about condition grades
