Date Sold 4/11/2023Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded German Movie Poster (measures 34" x 48" [86 x 122 cm]) (Learn More) Funftausend Mark Belonung (literally translates to "Five Thousand Mark Reward"), the 1942 Philipp Lothar Mayring German crime espionage thriller melodrama (about a massive explosion in a pulp mill that is deemed suspicious by police and a 5,000 mark reward is offered to capture the perpetrators!) starring Olly Holzmann, Hilde Sessak, Martin Urtel, Friedrich Domin, and Paul Dahlke Artist: Siegfried Karl Trieb Important Added Info: Note that German movie paper from this film is incredibly rare. We have never auctioned a single German movie poster from this movie until we were consigned this poster (which is a "country of origin" poster for this German movie!). Note also that this is a very rare poster from Germany during World War II. There are very few German movie posters from during World War II in existence (because of the massive paper shortages in Germany during World War II), and most of those few are in museums. It is likely that German posters from during the Nazi era are even more rare than those from before that era, because most of those that survived the war would have been destroyed right after the war! Condition: very good. The poster has paper loss in the top right corner in the German eagle and someone taped a piece of tape on back of that area. Otherwise the poster has pretty minor fold and border wear and has likely survived in about as good condition as one could hope! Learn More about condition grades
