Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Folded Chapter #1 One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) The Vanishing Rider, the 1928 Ray Taylor silent cowboy western serial starring William Desmond (in the title role as The Vanishing Rider), Ethlyne Clair, Bud Osborne, Boris Karloff, and Nelson McDowell. Note that this is a "lost" film which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: very good. the poster was linenbacked; prior to restoration the poster had tears, creases, and some small areas of paper loss at the middle crossfold and a lesser amount at the top and bottom of the crossfolds; there were some stains on some of the large yellow letters at bottom; there were several tape stains in the blank borders; there was minor wear on all the foldlines; other than the above defects, the poster was in nice condition; it was very nicely linenbacked!; the above defects in the image were very expertly repaired, and they are not at all visible except at a close distance; the stains in the border were repaired with a combination of paint and a bit of new paper, and it is so well done that it is difficult to see what is the original border, what is painted over, and what is papered over!
