An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Star Night at the Cocoanut Grove, the 1934 musical short ("A musical revue") with many of Hollywood's elite including Ted Fio-Rito and his Orchestra, The Debutantes, Eduardo Durant's Rhumba Band, and the Fancho & Marco Girls. Leo Carrillo serves as the Master of Ceremonies, and introduces a "Galaxy of Stars" including Mary Pickford, Jack Oakie, El Brendel, Arline Judge, Bing Crosby and Gary Cooper. This 20 minute long film included a "fashion show" and other non-musical segments, and can be seen in its entirety on YouTube! Note that Paramount and Warner Bros. had many of these "all star" movies in the early 1940s, but this is the only example we know of where MGM did the same thing, and of course, this predated those others, and it was in full color too! Important Added Info: Note that original movie paper from this early short is incredibly rare (it is quite possible that they only made a one-sheet for it and no other paper). Prior to being consigned this one-sheet, we had never seen anything from this short subject! Condition: very good to fine. The poster has separation at the top and bottom crossfolds, and a 1 1/2" tear in the left of the top border. There are some creases on the foldlines and around the edges.
