An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Insert Movie Poster (measures 14" x 36") (Learn More) Let's Make It Legal, the 1951 Richard Sale romantic love triangle marriage divorce comedy ("Who cares if it's legal as long as it's... tempting, virile, tantalizing, smooth, Wow!"; "Who cares if it's legal as long as it's fun!!!"; "Screen Play by F. Hugh Herbert and I.A.L. Diamond"; "Based on a story by Mortimer Braus"; about a middle-aged couple with adult children, where the wife wants to get divorced from her gambling husband, and he tries to win her back, and it is complicated by the re-emergence of her old flame, who is now rich) starring Claudette Colbert, Macdonald Carey, Zachary Scott, Barbara Bates, Marilyn Monroe, Robert Wagner (in his third credited movie role!), and Frank Candy. Note that after Marilyn Monroe's great success at the start of the 1950s, 20th Century-Fox, who had her under contract, wisely found small parts for her in lots of their movies in 1951 and 1952! The poster had creases and scuffs along the foldlines and there were two additional horizontal folds, with more creases. There was a 2" tear to the left of the Fox logo at lower right and creases, smudges, pinholes, and tears around the edges of the poster. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was fairly well backed, but at some time after it was backed, it was quite roughly handled and there are now creases in both the poster and the linen that were not there before it was roughly handled.
