Original Vintage Theatrical Lobby Card (measures 11" x 14") (Learn More) Frankenstein Meets the Wolf Man, the 1943 Roy William Neill Universal monster horror thriller (the fifth Universal Frankenstein movie) starring Ilona Massey (as Baroness Elsa Frankenstein), Patric Knowles, Bela Lugosi (in the title role as the Frankenstein Monster), Lionel Atwill, Maria Ouspenskaya, Rex Evans, Dwight Frye, Lon Chaney Jr. (in the title role as the Wolf Man; "Lon Chaney in his most terrifying role"; "Lon Chaney as The Wolfman"), Dennis Hoey, Jeff Corey, Doris Lloyd, Adia Kuznetzoff, Martha Vickers (billed as "Martha MacVicar" in her first movie), Gil Perkins (who doubled for Bela Lugosi in some action scenes), and Eddie Parker (who doubled for Lon Chaney Jr. in some action scenes). Note that in this movie, Bela Lugosi took over the role of the Frankenstein monster which had been played by Lon Chaney Jr. in the previous movie, because Lon Chaney Jr. reprised his role of the Wolf Man, which he had created in the 1941 Universal classic! We made it very clear about the restoration, and what we could tell of it, yet the buyer eventually asked to return the card because of the restoration. We are re-selling it now, again starting it with no reserve. WE ASK THAT NO ONE BID ON THIS CARD UNLESS THEY CAN ACCEPT THE RESTORATION IT HAS HAD (see below)! Condition: very good. The card has been paperbacked. It appears that the card had cuts through the Wolf Man's head (the kind of cuts that are made with a razor or sharp knife). There appears to be four cuts; two in the Wolf Man's right shoulder extending into his. I can't stress enough how great the restoration on this card is. I am certain I have seen more restored posters and lobby cards than any other person in the world, and I have never seen any item to compare in quality to this item's restoration!
