The Iron Petticoat, the 1956 Ralph Thomas English romantic Capitalism-vs-Communism political comedy ("MGM presents The Comedy Team of the Year"; "Hilariously together for the first time!"; about a female communist who defects from Russia to London, not because she doesn't like communism, but because she doesn't like how women are treated in Russia, and she meets an American captain who tries to convince her of the superiority of capitalism, and of course, they fall in love) starring Bob Hope, Katharine Hepburn, Noelle Middleton, James Robertson-Justice, Robert Helpmann, David Kossof, Alan Gifford, Paul Carpenter, Nicholas Phipps, and Sidney James. Note that this movie bears many similarities to the 1939 Greta Garbo movie "Ninotchka", but the great screenwriter Ben Hecht wrote this movie, while Ninotchka was written by Billy Wilder and Charles Brackett!
