The French Connection, the classic 1971 William Friedkin (winner of the Best Director Academy Award for this film) New York City police crime thriller ("Doyle is bad news - but a good cop."; "The time is just right for an out and out thriller like this."; winner of the Best Picture Academy Award) starring Gene Hackman (winner of the Best Actor Academy Award for this film; as Jimmy "Popeye" Doyle), Fernando Rey, Roy Scheider (nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film), Tony Lo Bianco, Marcel Bozzuffi, Eddie Egan (the real life cop on whose career this movie was loosely based, and he played a cameo role in the movie), and Jose Fernandez

Important Added Info: Note that this Japanese two-panel poster was printed in 2 sections (designed to overlap) and when combined, the poster measures approximately 20" x 57".

Condition: very good to fine. Each section of the poster was lightly tri-folded and had the most minor of fold and border wear. Overall, the poster was in very good to fine condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was well backed, and looks great! Note that the restorer left a tiny bit of excess linen around all four sides of the poster (they left a small border in order to protect the poster from handling damage, but they did not leave a larger border to allow it to more easily fit in a frame)
