An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 10 1/4" x 14" [26 x 36 cm]) (Learn More)

Tom Sawyer, the 1917 William Desmond Taylor silent adventure comedy ("By arrangement with Mark Twain"; "Scenario by Julia Crawford Ivers") starring Jack Pickford (in the title role as Tom Sawyer), George Hackathorne, Alice Marvin, Edythe Chapman, Robert Gordon (as Huckleberry Finn), and Alice Horton (as Becky Thatcher). Note that this is the second film adaptation for this Mark Twain classic (although there is not much, if any, information about the alleged first adaptation from 1907) and movie paper from this title is extremely scarce. If anyone has more information about the alleged 1907 version (if it exists), please e-mail us and we will post it here.

Important Added Info: Note that ANY movie paper items from this movie are incredibly rare. We have only previously auctioned a single lobby card and a handful of 8x10 lobby cards from this movie (and NO other movie paper of any kind) until we received this second lobby card! Also note that this lobby card has been trimmed and it now measures 10 1/4" x 14" [26 x 36 cm]. Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has.

Condition: good. The top and right blank borders were trimmed off, and there are some faint smudges, tiny dot stains, and a few tack holes around the edges. Note that this card is completely unrestored and there is not a single piece of tape on either the front or back!
