An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) The Unholy 3, the classic 1930 Jack Conway crime thriller ("All Talking!"; "Lon Chaney Talks"; "Based on the novel by Tod Robbins") starring Lon Chaney Sr. (as Echo, the sinister ventriloquist; in his final movie role), Lila Lee, Elliott Nugent, Harry Earles, John Miljan, and Ivan Linow. This is the 1930 talking remake version of the 1925 movie. There was a silent movie of the same name, it has different actors, with the exception of Lon Chaney, who played the lead in both movies! Note that this was the public's first (and sadly only, because he died after making it) chance to hear Chaney's voice, and they had him play a ventriloquist who spoke "in five distinct voices"! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that ANY movie paper items from this movie are incredibly rare. We have only previously auctioned three lobby cards (we auctioned one of those cards three times!), a herald, and some stills from this movie (and NO other movie paper of any kind) until we received this lobby card, which has a better different close up of Lon Chaney and Lila Lee that was not on any of the other cards we previously auctioned! Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: very good. There is a light water stain in the top right blank corner, slight darkening in the extreme outer edge of the lower half of the left blank border, and a few faint smudges in parts of the blank borders. Otherwise, the card is in excellent condition. Note that this lobby card is completely unrestored and there is not a single piece of tape on either the front or back! We would certainly think that most collectors would be happy to leave this great lobby card completely unrestored (because the defects are in the blank borders), but of course, one could choose to have a restorer remove the border staining described above.
