Phantom of the Opera, the 1943 Arthur Lubin Universal musical horror thriller ("The Screen's Classic of Terror!"; based on the classic novel by Gaston Leroux, and a remake of the silent classic featuring Lon Chaney Sr.) starring Nelson Eddy, Susanna Foster (as Christine), Claude Rains (in the title role as Erique Claudin, the Phantom of the Opera), Edgar Barrier (as Raoul), Leo Carrillo, Jane Farrar, J. Edward Bromberg, Fritz Feld, Hume Cronyn, and "a cast of thousands"!

Important Added Info: Note that the printing on the back has a 1946 date, but the herald itself might have been printed in 1945, and was still being used in 1946, or 1946 might be the first Spanish release of this movie. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Note that when Spanish heralds have printing on the back, we picture both sides, but when they are blank on the back, we only picture the front. Note that this Spanish herald is quite a bit larger than most Spanish heralds (it is 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", whereas most of them are in the 3 1/2" x 5" to 4" x 6" range). Perhaps they made the herald extra large because they knew it would be a VERY popular movie! Also note that when Spanish heralds have printing on the back, we picture both sides, but when they are blank on the back, we only picture the front.
