McEvoy"; about a Broadway showgirl who meets a Hollywood director who convinces her to go to Hollywood with him, where he'll make her a star, but everything goes wrong, and after many complications, everything works out in the end) starring Alice White (billed as "America's girlfriend"), Jack Mulhall, Blanche Sweet, Ford Sterling, and Lee Shumway. Note that this movie is especially interesting because it gives an "inside" look at how movies were made in 1930, and it even has cameos by many real Hollywood actors, playing themselves, including Loretta Young, Walter Pidgeon, Noah Beery Sr., and Noah Beery, Jr. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
