What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had a dime-sized area of paper loss at the top and bottom crossfolds, with some small tears and tiny paper loss scattered in the folds. It had pinholes around the edges. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects, and the restorer painted over much of the white background areas, to "even them out".
