An Original 1960s Vintage Theatrical Folded Australian Daybill Movie Poster (db; measures 13 1/2" x 30" [34 x 76 cm]) (Learn More) Paramount, the circa 1960s Australian "stock" poster created by Paramount for use by theaters showing their movies. Theaters would order this poster, which had a large blank area. Sometimes the studio would overprint the stock poster with the title of a specific movie, and sometimes they sent a series of large paper snipes with the titles of specific entries of the series, so the theater could paste in each snipe as needed, thus getting many posters for the price of one. Sometimes stock posters are found with blank snipe areas. Most collectors consider them more valuable with a printed snipe attached, or with an overprinted snipe area. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: good to very good. tape stains in all four corners; some stains in the lower left border; 1" of separation at the right of the top foldline; extra creases along the bottom foldline; note that the interior writing was done by hand, as was intended!
