Benson and John Bains", and also based on stories by H.G. Wells and Angus MacPhail; the movie contains four unrelated short films linked by a dream sequence) starring Mervyn Johns, Roland Culver, Frederick Valk, Sally Ann Howes, Googie Withers, Hartley Power, Anthony Baird (billed as "Antony Baird"), Michael Redgrave (wonderful as a ventriloquist whose dummy takes on a life of its own, a plot that was later made the basis of entire movies!), and Ralph Michael NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this card has been graded and authenticated by mpgrading.com. This means that a corner of the card has been "encrypted with a unique 9-digit serial number with invisible DNA-laced ink", which can be seen with a special scanner, and this info has been attached to a separate Certificate of Authenticity. On that certificate, the card ha been given a grade of "very fine (8.5)-RG", but of course, that grading scale is not the same as ours, and on ours, we grade this card as "very good" (see below). Condition: good. The card was "starch backed", which means that it was moistened with a special starch solution, attached to a backing, allowed to dry, and then the card had touch up while it was backed, and afterward, the backing was removed. The blank borders of the card were trimmed off. There were some faint smudges and scuffs scattered throughout the image. A talented restorer starch-backed the card and replaced the blank borders and performed touch up to the image without backing the card. The card displays well, and best of all, it still completely looks and feels like an unrestored lobby card! Learn More about condition grades
