Date Sold 10/26/2021 Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. 2 Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Cards (LCs; measure 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) The Manicure Girl, the 1925 Frank Tuttle silent romantic love triangle rich man/poor girl melodrama (about a manicurist at a major hotel who is engaged to a poor electrician; she meets a rich guest of the hotel who romances her, and she initially refuses, but after a fight with her fiance, she turns to the rich man for consoling, and she is shocked to discover he is married, which sends her rushing back to her fiance) starring Bebe Daniels, Edmund Burns, Dorothy Cumming, Hale Hamilton, and Charlotte Walker. Note that this is a "lost" film which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: This group of silent lobby cards is one of many that were consigned to us by a very long time collector. Almost all of the groups were in surprisingly nice condition, but not surprisingly, many of them had smudges or stains in the blank borders, with a few pinholes or small tears. The collector approached a restorer, and asked that all the cards have touch up performed on the fronts of the cards in the borders (as needed), but that none of them be backed in any way. You can tell that the cards have had some border restoration (some of it is more "felt" than seen), but they will display really well on the new owner's walls (or in albums). And many of these cards are from EXTREMELY rare titles! Condition: very good.
