Ringling Bros and Barnum and Bailey, the circa 1940s circus poster ("The Greatest Show on Earth") featuring a great artwork image of a tiger riding on a horse. Note that the poster is undated, but it looks quite similar to dated 1940s Ringling Bros. circus posters we have sold. If anyone knows more about this poster or what date it is from, please e-mail us and we will post it here. The modern version of the circus started in 1919 when the Barnum & Bailey's Greatest Show on Earth, a circus created by P. T. Barnum and James Anthony Bailey, was merged with the Ringling Bros. World's Greatest Shows. With weakening attendance and high operating costs, the circus closed on May 21st, 2017 after 146 years.

Important Added Info: Note that this is a commercial reproduction of a 1940s circus poster, likely fro the 1980s. Please do not bid on it thinking it is from the 1940s, because it is not. Note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube.
