Barton monster horror spoof comedy ("It's a grand New idea for Fun!"; the eighth Universal Frankenstein movie, and this time they added their #1 comedy team to both liven up the series, and to inject comedy; many people fondly remember this as their favorite of the 1940s Frankenstein movies!; "Jeepers! The Creepers are after Bud and Lou!"; "The laughs are MONSTERous! Bud and Lou are in a stew when they tangle with the Titans of Terror!"; "The monsters of menace vs the masters of Mirth!") starring Bud Abbott, Lou Costello (Abbott and Costello), Lon Chaney Jr. ("The Wolf Man played by Lon Chaney"), Bela Lugosi (returning as Dracula after being long absent from the role; "Dracula played by Bela Lugosi"), Glenn Strange (in the title role, playing the Frankenstein monster; "The Monster played by Glenn Strange"), Lenore Aubert, Jane Randolph, Frank Ferguson, Charles Bradstreet, and Vincent Price (in a cute cameo, as the voice of The Invisible Man at the end of the movie!) Important Added Info: Note that this poster was machine folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: very good. The poster has pairs of staple holes around the edges of the poster, including one pair in the eye of each monster (closest to the border). There is blank paper loss in the bottom right corner. Many years ago, someone put clear tape on the back of all three foldlines for reinforcement, but the tape does not affect the front in any way. Other than this old tape, there is no restoration of any kind on the poster, and there are very few scuffs or smudges anywhere in the image. I would think most collectors would be quite happy to display this great poster on their wall, and of course, any top restorer could paperback the poster, and repair its minor defects, after which it would look incredible!
