A Linenbacked Spanish Travel Poster (measures 25 1/4" x 38 1/2" [64 x 98 cm]) (Learn More) Alcala De Henares, the 1929 Spanish travel poster (with taglines translating to "Birthplace of [Miguel de] Cervantes" and "Renaissance University") encouraging people to visit the city of Alcala De Henares in Spain. Note that this poster features Vaquero art of the University of Alcala Artist: Vaquero Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had irregular tears in the top right background area, slightly touching the edge of the circular logo, with a small brown stain above that and a tear running up through the "U" of "TURISMO" to the top border. It had a 4" tear in the lower right background area below the title, with some tiny bits of paper loss scattered in that lower area, and some tiny brown stains. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects.
