An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Title Lobby Card (LC TC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More)

Manon Lescaut, the 1926 Arthur Robison German silent France French nobility romantic melodrama (about a beautiful social climber who seduces a French nobleman with tragic results) starring Lya De Putti (in the title role as Manon Lescaut), Vladimir Gajdarov, Eduard Rothauser, Fritz Greiner, Hubert von Meyerinck, and Marlene Dietrich (in an early role). Note that this movie was produced by UFA in Germany, and then distributed around the world. In the late 1910s, their movies were distributed in the U.S. by Paramount, and then at some point between 1920 and 1925, they had their own releasing company, UFA Films Inc., and somewhere around 1927, they made deals to release movies through both MGM and Paramount. If anyone has an exact timeline for this, please e-mail us and we will post it here.
NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
Important Added Info: Note that ANY movie paper from this movie is incredibly rare. We have never auctioned even a single movie paper item from this movie until we received this lobby card! Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has.

Condition: good. There are large areas of surface paper loss on the back of the left and right of the card, but they have little effect on the front. There are creases, tears, darkening and small paper loss around the edges. There is a tape stain at top center. Please look at our super-sized images to get a good sense of the exact condition of this card.
