Montserrat, the 1931 Spanish poster promoting the Santa Maria de Montserrat Abbey located on the mountain of Montserrat in Monistrol de Montserrat, Spain. It is notable for enshrining the image of the Virgin of Montserrat and in 1881, Pope Leo XIII granted it the status of minor basilica. The poster has "1031 - 1881 - 1931", which would indicate that it was made in the 50th anniversary of when it was granted minor basilica status. Note that the poster has a tagline in Catalan, a language spoken in Andora, in northeastern modern Spain. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here.

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster was never folded. It had some creases and tears around the edges. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well!
