He performed a little later than Al Jolson, but there were similarities between the two men, and Cantor had very large expressive eyes and was nicknamed "Old Banjo Eyes". He had a very successful radio show in the 1930s. Some of his movies include: Thank Your Lucky Stars, Hollywood Canteen, and Whoopee! There was a movie biography of his life called "The Eddie Cantor Story". He passed away in 1964 at the age of 72. Important Added Info: Note that this item has been personally autographed (signed) by Eddie Cantor! It was matted together with a nice 8" x 10" REPRO of the actor. Note that our consignor purchased this item in a large collection of memorabilia, and he can provide no information about how the autograph was obtained, but we believe it to be genuine.
