An Unfolded German Special Poster (measures 16 1/2" x 23 1/2" [42 x 60 cm]) (Learn More) Von Drogen Bekomm ich Keine Hepatitis (literally translates to "I Don't Get Any Hepatitis from Drugs!"), the 2000s German poster promoting safe practices, featuring a poster of a common misconception about the Hepatitis virus. Note that this poster was created by Deutsche Aids Hilfe to educate people about the consequences of Hepatitis and HIV (human immunodeficiency virus) which causes AIDS (Acquired ImmunoDeficiency Syndrome) and how to protect themselves from the diseases. Deutsche Aids Hilfe (DAH) was founded in 1983 and is now the head organization of 100 German regional AIDs prevention organizations. Note that when AIDS gripped the world in 1981, local authorities, healthcare providers and governments quickly created health posters as a way to inform people about the new disease. These public health campaigns continue to this day, and the posters show the different tactics, images (some quite provocative) and messages used by various countries and health agencies in their attempts to educate people about the AIDS/HIV threat. Note that new cases of hepatitis A cases have soared in Western Europe since 2017 as a result of an epidemic in gay and bisexual men, the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) reported recently. ECDC says that almost 1500 cases of hepatitis A have been identified as linked, in three outbreaks, predominantly in men who have sex with men. A further 2660 cases are still being investigated and ten countries have reported an increase in cases compared with 2016. Public authorities in France, Portugal and the United Kingdom have already issued warnings about the hepatitis A outbreak to gay men, recommending that they get vaccinated. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: very good to fine. Learn More about condition grades
