An Original 1967 (from the first release of this movie in the Czech Republic) Vintage Theatrical Folded Czechoslovakian Movie Poster (measures 22 3/4" x 32 1/4" [58 x 82 cm]) (Learn More) Pierrot Le Fou (released in the U.S. in 1969 as "Crazy Pete" and "Pierrot Goes Wild"), the 1965 Jean-Luc Godard French/Italian romantic love triangle crime fugitive melodrama (about a man whose wife hires a babysitter, and he impulsively runs off with her while driving her home, and they get mixed up in gun running, and end up on the run from the police and criminals) starring Jean-Paul Belmondo (in the title role), Anna Karina (director Godard's wife at the time this movie was made, one of many movies she made with him!), Graziella Galvani, Samuel Fuller (as himself), Jean-Pierre Leaud, and Dirk Sanders NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Jiri Hilmar Important Added Info: Note that this poster was tri-folded only (which means there is no vertical machine fold) but because it would be more expensive to send flat, it will be sent rolled in a tube. Note that Czech posters are similar to Polish posters, in that they often have wild completely different designs (sometimes unrelated to the movies!), but they are different from Polish posters in two important ways. One is that they come in two sizes, a small one that measures approximately 11x16, and a larger size that measures approximately 23x33 (the same as older Polish posters). The other is that the larger size has always been FAR more difficult to obtain than Polish posters! However, we have just been consigned a wonderful collection of 39 larger Czech posters (assembled over many years by a very advanced collector), and we are currently auctioning them in 39 separate auctions. This is an extremely rare opportunity to obtain many of the best Czech posters, in the larger size! Condition: good to very good. The poster has a few small tears of varying lengths around the edges (more so along the upper edge where there is some small paper loss at upper right - see our image.)
